At age twelve, Francine moved to the United States and instantly fell in love with the freedom and opportunities this country offers-- hence, the store name- Promesse. After reading too many glamour magazines and obsessing over pages of beautifully intricate clothing, Francine decided her destiny was fashion and headed to New York City in the early 90's.
Since then, she has garnered over 15 years of experience in Buying, Merchandising, and Retail Management at prestigious retailers including Prada, Saks Fifth Avenue, Joseph U.K., and FAO Schwarz. At FAO, she help pioneered the launch of FAO Baby.
She holds a degree in Buying and Merchandising from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology, and
a degree in Retail Marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, which incorporated a semester in London.
While she enjoyed her many years of working with fashion divas and catering to stylish Manhattanites, she decided to bring her impeccable taste to Seattle. Her fashion philosophy is that while fashion is
highly influenced by transient trends, style is timelessly fashionable. Just how the adage goes, "It's not what you wear, but more importantly, how you wear it." Today, women have transcended from the
days of matching designers head-to-toe, to freely expressing themselves, creating personality and a sense of individual style.
