Chie Mihara was born in Brazil in 1968, of Japanese parents. At age 22 Chie Mihara moved to New York to study accessories design at F.I.T., focusing on shoes and handbags. She interned at Eneslow, an orthopedic shoe store where she learned a lot about the foot and its problems. Post graduation, for two years, she designed handbag and shoes for Sam & Libby.
By age 27, Chie Mihara decided to move back to Europe and Spain where she eventually designed for Charles Jourdan. Finally, in December 2001, Chie Mihara launched her own label which is now recognized worldwide.
